Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Ma graduated from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. He completed his internship at Stanford School of Medicine and his residency in Emergency Medicine at UC San Diego. He is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, and a Voluntary Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCSD. He has served as Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Tri-City Medical Center and proudly serves as member of the Tri-City Hospital Foundation. Dr. Ma has been acknowledged 8 times by his peers as “San Diego Top Doctor” in Emergency Medicine. He currently serves as the Executive Director of Tri-City Emergency Medical Group and WorkPartners, and this year will serve his peers as Chief of Staff at Tri-City Medical Center.
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Browning graduated with honors from the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio. He received a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from San Diego State University. He is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and Medical Toxicology, and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. Dr. Browning has over 25 years experience in Occupational Medicine and is the Chief Medical Officer for WorkPartners Occupational Health Specialists. He has numerous peer-reviewed publications in the fields of Occupational Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Toxicology. He has been a member of Tri-City Emergency Medical Group since 1994.
Chief Operating Officer
Heather brings to WorkPartners an extensive marketing background and holds a BA in Sociology and an MBA, both from California State University San Marcos. She has been working in the field of Occupational Health since 2011. Heather’s previous career path was in higher education, serving as the Alumni Director and as the Assistant Vice President for University Advancement at CSUSM and in healthcare marketing, having served as a Director of Marketing and Public Relations for a psychiatric services organization based out of Newport Beach. Heather is a firm believer that excellent service is the key to success and she is committed to making WorkPartners the “go-to” destination for Occupational Health needs.
Director of Partner Relations
Lisa has worked in Occupational Health since 2009. She loves working in an industry that serves the community. She prides herself on providing exceptional service to everyone she interacts with and is proud to be part of the dedicated team of professionals at WPOHS. Lisa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and is Certified as Breath Alcohol Technician, Professional Collector and fingerprint roller.
Director of Business Development
Duane brings WorkPartners over 12 years of business development experience in the healthcare arena with focused attention in Occupational Health since 2007. Duane is an innovative and solution-oriented business development professional with a proven track record in developing and managing employer relationships. Duane is always looking for opportunities where WorkPartners clinical resources can help impact or improve the occupational health, productivity and overall wellness of employees.
Director of Physical Therapy
Dr. Leanne Lundgren graduated with her BA in Pre-Physical Therapy from Southern Oregon University where she was an All-American volleyball player. She then attended Azusa Pacific University where she graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Dr. Lundgren has a strong background in both manual therapy and movement science. She has spent time in both inpatient and outpatient orthopedics along with outpatient adult neuro. Dr. Lundgren is also Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, which allows her to work with patients of all activity levels. She is a San Diego native and is excited to give back to her community.
Lead Physician Assistant
Leah grew up in San Diego, CA, where she earned Bachelor’s degrees in Physiology and Neuroscience as well as in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego. She then went on to attend the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine and earned her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Practice. She joined WorkPartners Occupational Health Specialists in June 2014.
Office Manager – Oceanside
Fabiola graduated from California State University, Fresno with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. She is also certified by the State of California Department of Justice for fingerprint rolling. She brings HR Generalist and customer service experience to the team. She is bilingual in English and Spanish. As a Customer Service Specialist, she is dedicated to providing a great and positive experience to all our patients.
Office Manager – Vista
Margaret has worked in Occupational Health for five years and is a certified Fingerprint Roller. She specializes in patient referrals and serves as the liaison between patients, employers and insurance providers.
Ruth is a native San Diegan who earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from San Diego State University and Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Loma Linda University. Ruth began her nursing career in the Emergency Department at Scripps Mercy Hospital in 2006. She joined WorkPartners in 2013, and is a certified Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Examiner.
Katie Klarer is an occupational therapist & certified hand therapist, who specializes in upper extremity disorders. She has over 27 years of therapy experience in a variety of settings, including acute care, rehab, skilled nursing, and outpatient therapy. Katie holds her degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California and has been a Certified Hand Therapist since 2009. She is trained in Graston technique for manual therapy. Her passion is with a variety of upper extremity injuries including cumulative trauma disorders, fractures and dislocations, traumatic injuries, tendon and nerve lacerations, arthritis, and sports & work injuries. “I enjoy the different challenges that each patient presents and appreciate that no two patients are alike. I truly enjoy making their experience with us unique and successful so they may return to work and the activities that are meaningful to them.”
Marisol has been a Medical Assistant for over 10 years and loves what she does. She is a Licensed Phlebotomist and is a Certified Breath Alcohol Technician and a Certified Professional Collector. Marisol is bilingual in English and Spanish.
X-Ray Technician & Medical Assistant
Juan Carlos Torres “JC” graduated from Kaplan College in Vista, CA in 2009. He is a licensed X-Ray Technician and a Medical Assistant. He has worked as a Advanced Care Technician for Tri-City Medical Center for eight years and in
Occupational Health Care for three and a half years. He is a Certified Breath Alcohol Technician and a Certified Professional Collector. And he is so proud to be part of this excellent and dedicated Team. He is passionate to serve our community. And he is bilingual in English and Spanish.
X-Ray Technician & Medical Assistant
Breanna graduated from Kaplan College in Vista, CA in 2013. She is a licensed X-Ray Technician and a Medical Assistant. She is great with people and has a passion for care.
Customer Service Specialist
Kali has studied in sociology and criminal justice and enjoys working in a career that serves the community. She has over 12 years experience in customer service and she is certified through the Department of Justice to roll applicant fingerprint impressions for licensure, certification, and employment purposes.
